Toshiko Kuroda (黒田寿子 Kuroda Toshiko) is a student at Misaki Municipal High School in Class 1-3, a room next to Yūji's.
Appearance[]
Toshiko has wavy, brown hair that comes down to her back. She has a fringe that ends above her eyes. She has purple eyes and a pale complexion. As Alice, she wears a white dress over a blue, long-sleeved shirt. She wears a pink bow in her hair.
Toshiko is known to be a quite beautiful girl as Eita had already picked her out to be a candidate for the costume Grand Prix during the opening parade of the Seishū Festival.[1] Later, when she was nominated for the best 10 in the costume competition, she was referred to as "Alice, or rather, the Queen of Hearts" (アリスというよりハートの女王様 Arisu to iu yori Hāto no Joō-sama).

"Colorful Wave" Arc[]
Kaze no Tenrin activating around Toshiko and Yūji
During the opening parade of the Seishū Festival, Toshiko is dressed as Alice from Alice's Adventures in Wonderland and is seen talking to a student dressed as a rabbit. Later, she celebrates with a friend at the front of the school when she is announced as one of the best 10 in the costume Grand Prix. Toshiko gets dressed hastily with help from her friend and rushes for the award ceremony. They are running late for the meeting time as her friend passes her the bow for her hair. As their hands touch, the wind around them blows. At the award ceremony, Toshiko receives an award along with Yūji and Kazumi. As the number-one girl, Shana, directs her victory speech towards Yūji, Toshiko is taken aback and touches Yūji's hand, activating Kaze no Tenrin and causing a twister.[1]
Final Battle of Misaki City Arc[]
Toshiko is referenced as someone who heard Yūji's voice to remember the fight between an enormous suit of armour and a multiple-headed wolf.[2]
Trivia[]
- In volume XXII, the furigana reading of Toshiko's name was incorrectly written as Sumiko Kuroda (黒田寿子 Kuroda Sumiko).[2] Her given name (寿子) could be expressed as either "Toshiko" or "Sumiko" among other names.
