Tessera is a collective name for each of Outlaw's primary Treasure Tools. Tessera is shaped like a regular dodecahedron. Their ability is to mask the Power of Existence of Flame Haze and is a vital part of the Outlaw headquarters.

Background

Tessera is a special case where there exist multiple Treasure Tools with the exact same power. This is due to their multiplication property when it was first created; it multiplies when hearts of people that wish for places to rest and relax accumulate.

Tessera takes form of a palm-sized glass dodecahedrons that emits faint light when it is activated. Every Outlaws have one of these Treasure Tools installed inside in order to conceal their presences. It is one of two main components of what defines a place as an Outlaw, the other being various maps and nautical charts.

However, Tessera requires Power of Existence supply intermittently, and cannot be moved while maintaining its concealment ability. The faint light it emits is shown in the color of the one who supply them. If one of the conditions to maintain the barrier is broken, Tessera stops functioning. It also takes a significant amount of time to reboot.

There are cases where Tessera were stolen by Crimson Denizens. One of them was stolen and later in the possession of Friagne, who then gave it to Coyote of the Jewel Gang in 1864. In the other time, at the end of the 19th Century, Honolulu Outlaw was destroyed by Sarachael of the Révolution and had their Tessera stolen. It was used by him to conceal his base of operation in Hawaii.
