Tarnkappe (タルンカッペ Tarunkappe ) was a rag-shaped Treasure Tool possessed by "Howling Fang" Bifrons, a Wanderer of Bal Masqué.
Appearance[]
Tarnkappe was in the shape of a long black rag which covered Bifrons' slender body.
Abilities[]
The rag could cut off the Presence of the one wearing it,[1] allowing them to move without being detected by Flame Haze or Crimson Denizens. However, Power of Existence had to be continuously infused into it for this ability to work, inevitably causing the user's movements to be sluggish and putting them at a disadvantage if discovered by the naked eye. Gigantic existences clad in Tarnkappe would have their Presence erased to a certain extent.[2]
During the battle at Misaki City on Christmas Eve, Tarnkappe was caught in the big explosion caused by the offset between the Flame Haze "Flame-Haired Burning-Eyed Hunter" Shana's and Bifrons' attacks and was torn to pieces.
Trivia[]
- The name Tarnkappe is the German word for "camouflage cape".
- Tarnkappe is a magical cloak owned by the legendary Norse hero Sigurd, which could make the wearer invisible.
