Wilhelmina quickly implemented the plan to defeat Labyrinthos, but was overcome by emotion.
Summary[]
While she and Mathilde battled Crimson Denizens within Labyrinthos, Wilhelmina spotted a thread, the 55th one she had released and the 100th they had come across. Wilhelmina had released numerous threads from the back of Persona which had spread throughout Labyrinthos. With their preparations ready, Wilhelmina wrapped all the surrounding Denizens in a ball made of ribbons, surprising Mathilde, who blew up the ball with archer Knights. As Mathilde found Wilhelmina's hasty actions confusing, she was pulled from her horse by Wilhelmina's ribbon, which was still around her arm. Wilhelmina and Tiamat wanted to act quickly before more of Töten Glocke's forces arrived and Mathilde summoned Knights in a ring around them for defense.
Wilhelmina formed a crown, made from the ends of the threads which were spread throughout Labyrinthos, to give to Mathilde. Mathilde casually tried to take it but was stopped by Wilhelmina, who wanted her to make a vow for what was to come. Mathilde thought she was talking about Merihim, but Wilhelmina headbutted her with Persona. Wilhelmina was crying and told Mathilde to consider just how much others were thinking of her. Mathilde reflected that she had insulted the resolve of her friend, who had wanted to fight together and make her one in a hundred million chance into two in a hundred million. Mathilde apologized, with Tiamat and Alastor both placing blame on her as well.
Mathilde went down on one knee and asked for the vow. Wilhelmina put the crown on Mathilde's head and asked her to live. She already knew what Mathilde would say next, and as she thought, Mathilde vowed to, but stated that she was already living her life to the fullest. Wilhelmina was saddened and began crying again. Mathilde stood up and the threads extending from her crown began to light up.
