Shakugan no Shana Second Episode 02

"The Beginning of Everything" (全ての序章, Subete no Joshō^?) is the second episode of the anime series Shakugan no Shana Second. Mare, the Crimson Denizen who trapped Yūji Sakai and Shana in a dream, wants to steal the Reiji Maigo but is defeated in the process.

Summary[]

Shana-learns-to-cook — Shana learns to cook.

Shana asked Chigusa to teach her how to make bento because Wilhelmina doesn't know how to cook and the desire to compete with Kazumi's bento. Meanwhile, Wilhelmina was thinking something while training Yūji nearby Misaki Bridge at Mana River. After Shana ruined her bento, she decided to give him a lot of melon bread as a substitute. Yūji forced himself to eat Kazumi's and Shana's bento causing himself to have a stomach ache and went to the health room for a rest.

When Shana and Kazumi are arguing about the bento they gave Yūji in the health room with Yūji lying down, Shana suddenly sensed a casting of Fuzetsu and immediately wakes Yūji up. When they reached Mana River, Yūji found out they are placed in a dream and Kazumi is also in this dream. After finding Yoshida, they found out that Mare taken her as hostage. Immediately, Shana takes the full brunt of attacks a copy of Bel-Peol that is given by Mare to her. At first, Yūji tries to save Kazumi by waking her up and thus dispelling the Unrestricted Spell. Later, he soon realizes that Mare was just at arm's reach of the Reiji Maigo.

Mare-injured — Mare witness the power of Kaikin.

All of a sudden, Mare emerges from Yūji's body, losing an arm and a leg, muttering that there was a Keeper (Kaikin in the Japanese dub) and soon her spell starts to fall apart because she is dying. It bring them along with it if they fail to wake Kazumi on time. Yūji manages to wake Kazumi up at the last moment and Mare dies as Gemeinde finally breaks apart.

Back at Wilhelmina's apartment, Shana, Alastor, Wilhelmina and Tiamat discussed about the Keeper on the Reiji Maigo. Meanwhile, at Keisaku's house, Eita tell Margery Daw not to drink too much beer every night because they wanted to go to school. Marchosias also tells her not drink too much beer after Eita mentioned about Margery had too much beer every night. Margery Daw sensed that something bad might happen to Misaki City. At Seireiden, Bel-Peol was looking out of the window. Fumina Konoe is introduced as a new student in Misaki Municipal High School.
