The epilogue is the last chapter of the Shakugan no Shana manga series.
At a park, Shana and Yūji were immersed in their own thoughts, Shana about how she had changed and her feelings for Yūji, and Yūji about his future and eventually leaving Misaki City.
Summary[]

Shana after eating melonpan.
In the morning, Shana and Yūji were walking through the city, with Shana having just bought some melonpan from a bakery. Shana was happily explaining how to eat it; first by eating the crispy edges, then some of the soft insides, then going back and forth. Yūji thought about how she really liked melonpan, then recalled how she had blushed and stared at him when she wanted to give him a reward. Yūji dismissed thoughts of Shana liking him and him liking her from his mind. Shana said she wouldn't give Yūji any melonpan and he complained about how many bakeries they had visited that morning. Yūji likened Shana to a gluttonous child, but thought that she was cute.
The two reached a public park. Yūji asked Shana why she liked melonpan so much, as it was invented quite recently. Alastor thought that he was trying to figure out Shana's age and Yūji tried to argue that Flame Haze were ageless anyway so it wouldn't matter if she was hundreds of years old, but Shana punched him, saying Chigusa had said that asking a woman about her age was the rudest act possible. Yūji complained but Shana said she wouldn't hit anyone else, also quietly saying she treated him differently to others in other ways as well. Shana stopped Yūji from inquiring about her statement. She answered his previous question; eating melonpan was proof that "she was here", to which Alastor agreed. Shana had never thought about why she liked melonpan, but she had often been given some by someone before she became a Flame Haze, and she had decided after setting out on her journey that she could smile when eating it. However, after coming to Misaki City, she began to just eat melonpan because she liked it and smile because she was happy.
Shana and Yūji sat down on a bench. Shana felt that she had changed and thought the reason was Yūji. She imagined him with Yoshida and her chest hurt just remembering the confrontation she and Yoshida had. What Shana felt was a scary feeling, like despair or anxiety, which made her want to pull Yūji towards herself no matter what. She wondered if that feeling was love. Shana and Yūji's eyes met and Shana looked away, embarrassed.
Yūji finished his drink, thinking about how peaceful it was when they had just recently battled the Aizen Siblings. He thought that Shana's normal calmness was affecting him. Yūji wondered when he had stopped caring about being human and stopped feeling uncomfortable fighting Denizens then returning to live normally with everyone. He felt that being with Shana had changed him. Yūji didn't think his life would continue that way, thinking about the powerful Kaikin spell inside him which could even ward off Sydonay. He felt that in the near future, he and Shana would have to leave behind their life in the city and head out into the world, where battles with Crimson Denizens awaited. Yūji wondered if, on this journey, he would cling to Shana with nowhere else to go, but thought that he had to become stronger regardless while he "was still here".

Yūji reaching out to Shana.
Yūji got up and extended his hand to Shana, saying best regards for their future together. Shana agreed and took his hand, and the two walked off.
With feelings hidden, the days flowed on.
Connecting the past, the present, and the future.
The world wrapped everything, and continued, along with the two.
