"Rinne" Flowers I (“燐子”の花 I "Rin'ne" no Hana I ) is the 56th chapter of the Shakugan no Shana manga series.
Shana seemingly defeated Sorath with a blast of flames, but he was restored by an enormous amount of Power of Existence.
Summary[]

Shana's blast of flames.
Tiriel joined Shana and Sorath on the roof, telling Shana to give up. Shana noticed that Misaki Municipal High School was a block away and remembered Yūji asking if she would protect it and everyone. Shana concentrated in order to take down Sorath with one surprise attack. When Sorath rushed at her, Shana began her sword strike after gathering her power. Sorath stepped back, but was caught in the tremendous amount of flames that Shana had emitted in her slash. Sorath fell to the ground, the bottom half of his body disintegrated, and Tiriel screamed.
Shana rushed at Tiriel but in an instant Sorath was right in front of her, made of vines. He grabbed Shana's wrist with his vines. Shana kicked Sorath in the head to free herself. Sorath had a hole in his head but was unfazed and was even more impressed with the Nietono no Shana, which he now thought was a flame sword. In seconds his body had perfectly regenerated from its previous vine-like state. Alastor and Shana had felt the enormous amount of Power of Existence flow into Sorath to make the regeneration possible. Shana theorized that it wasn't possible for Tiriel alone to be able to maintain the vast spell, control the vines in order to attack, and gather power in an instant to restore Sorath, and she thought that the vast spell had some kind of trick to it.
Tiriel was furious that Shana had hurt Sorath and stepped on his face, but was instantly calm when an enthusiastic Sorath approached her. Tiriel wrapped him in vines, which formed a new set of armor for him, and handed him the Blutsauger. Shana thought about how it was pointless to attack them, and how she had sensed that the Power of Existence that had flowed into Sorath had come from the other side of the school, in the southwest part of the city. She thought that the trick to the siblings' spell was there, and that Yūji might be heading there. He might become involved in the battle, but Shana would be happy if he was there.
Yūji was running through the city but stopped when he felt Shana release a large amount of power, and thought that she had defeated one of the Denizens. He was shocked to sense an enormous amount of Power of Existence being sent into the defeated Denizen. The power had been sent near Shana and the Denizens, but had come from far away, near Yūji's location. Yūji thought it might be an Unrestricted Spell to gather Power of Existence or a Rinne, and remembered Friagne's two Rinne, but was resolved to investigate. Yūji ran towards the source of the power and found a Rinne in the form of an old man. A hand reached out from behind Yūji.
