Other World in the Fog III (霧中の異界 III Muchū no Ikai III ) is the 55th chapter of the Shakugan no Shana manga series.
Margery went back to the Crystal Altar in order to investigate the siblings' spell.
Summary[]
Satō and Tanaka sat on the Crystal Altar, wondering repeatedly if Margery was okay and what the rings resembling hula hoops which had suddenly appeared around them were. They were happy when Margery arrived, and she explained that the rings allowed them to stay mobile inside the citywide Fūzetsu that had been cast. The boys were surprised when Margery told them that there were three Denizens in the city, all much more powerful than "Corpse Retriever". The "Burning-Eyed Brat" was dealing with two of them and Margery had slipped the last one, hiding her presence so they wouldn't find her. Margery was going to investigate the Denizens' plan with the Crystal Altar before making her move. She activated the altar and set it to only show Torches, revealing a large number of them, as well as black, plant-like things which covered the city. Margery figured that the plants were an Unrestricted Spell maintaining the large and irregular Fūzetsu. The spell was complex, with many insignias used as camouflage, meaning Margery wouldn't know what the spell does without going to see the plants firsthand. The plants were well concealed, as they were all over the city and Margery and Marchosias hadn't felt them.
Both Satō and Tanaka wanted Margery to use a spell to search for the Denizens, but Margery explained that she was the one being hunted this time. The boys were disappointed with Margery's timidness, which angered her. Marchosias figured that they need to stop the Fūzetsu-like spell, but also thought she was being timid. Margery said she would go out and investigate, explaining that the Crystal Altar couldn't display Denizens' locations, only humans, Torches, Power of Existence and insignias which use Power of Existence. She said that Sydonay was very close to them and that the "Burning-Eyed Brat" was struggling against the two Denizens who had cast the spell. When Tanaka asked whether she would help the other Flame Haze, Margery declined, saying she had no obligation to and that they were making her investigation easier. Satō noted that a Torch was moving on the altar, surprising Margery and Marchosias.

Sorath blocking Shana.
Shana again clashed swords with Sorath, who explained that if he sent Power of Existence into Blutsauger, his opponent would get wounded just by touching it. He did so, lacerating Shana again. The wounds weren't deep, but it was dangerous to keep receiving them. Shana fell back and was chased by Tiriel's vines through the city, hiding a few times to no avail. Alastor and Shana had underestimated the siblings' strength, and Tiriel reiterated that they were invincible within Cradle Garden. On a rooftop, Shana's way was blocked by the vines and Sorath. Sorath was eager to see what the Nietono no Shana could do.
