Other World in the Fog II (霧中の異界 II Muchū no Ikai II) is the 54th chapter of the Shakugan no Shana manga series.
Margery managed to escape from Sydonay. Shana began her battle with Sorath and Tiriel.
Summary[]
Transformed Sydonay.
Margery raced across the sides of buildings, being chased by tiger heads formed from Sydonay's arms. She dodged an attack from a tiger head and shot a volley of flame bullets at its source, Sydonay. As Margery landed, one tiger still approached and she crushed it with a stomp, also snapping the strap of her high heels. She tossed her high heels away as a transformed Sydonay emerged unscathed. He was interested in why Margery was holding back, but resolved to kill her, as she had destroyed many of his friends. Marchosias used an Unrestricted Spell linked to Margery to converse with her, his speech unable to be heard by others. He suggested she retreat, as she couldn't defeat Sydonay in her present state and the Aizen Siblings' Unrestricted Spell had changed. Margery used an Unrestricted Spell to make a flash of light and she burst into the sky clad in flames. Sydonay, shocked that Margery was running away, transformed further and threw a van at her. Marchosias claimed that Sydonay had missed and called him a fool, with the flames then exploding. On the ground, Sydonay noticed an uncovered manhole which Margery had used to escape. He was then approached by a middle-aged man, one of the people who Tiriel had inserted an Unrestricted Spell Insignia into, and she used him to speak through. She told Sydonay to leave Margery and protect Orgel. Sydonay warned her that Margery was a strong and smart Unrestricted Spell Master, but Tiriel hadn't thought so from observing the battle and seeing Margery run away. Tiriel didn't think she was underestimating Margery, but rather believed they were invincible within Cradle Garden, its one weakness being Orgel. When Sydonay agreed to the order, Tiriel told him where Orgel was.
Margery was struggling from the smell as she floated through the sewers. Marchosias joked that he would purify her when she meets up with Satō and Tanaka.
In the city, Shana stopped when she saw the Crimson Denizens, Sorath and Tiriel, traveling on a gigantic mass of vines. Tiriel introduced herself and Sorath and asked about Shana's contractor. Tiriel not recognizing Alastor straight away confirmed that they were young Denizens, and Alastor assumed that they had crossed over to this world while he was in Tendōkyū. Shana introduced herself to the siblings. While Tiriel talked, Shana felt irritated by the siblings clinging to each other. Tiriel told her to give her sword to Sorath. Shana rushed at them and slashed away at the vines that reached for her, but they managed to restrain her. With Tiriel's permission, Sorath leapt at Shana.
At the school entrance, Yūji sat down, already tired. He had acted cool in front of Shana before but knew she and Alastor weren't expecting anything from him, so he could choose to run and hide. He knew he would easily be killed if a Rinne found him, but was resolved to act and do what he could, and he stepped forward.
The effect of Blutsauger.
Sorath rushed at Shana and swung his Blutsauger in a daze, slashing away some vines and allowing Shana to free herself. Shana used her sword to block Sorath's, but Sorath used the effect of Blutsauger to cause lacerations all over her body.
