Claw and Fangs of Violation I (蹂躙の爪牙 I, Jūrin no Sōga I) is the 35th chapter of the Shakugan no Shana manga series.

Margery said farewell to Satō and Tanaka and followed the birds to Lamies.

Summary

Lamies' trick of splitting his own Power of Existence into birds to gather more from Torches.

Margery had figured out Lamies' trick and Marchosias thought that Lamies' time was up. Margery explained that Lamies had split off his Power of Existence into weak pieces with just enough strength for him to control, stored that existence inside many bird-shaped Torches, and made these birds gather more Power of Existence for him. Lamies' main body stored this collected Power of Existence, and he was hiding away somewhere in the city. Though Margery couldn't find Lamies by herself, the birds would lead her to him.

Margery vowing to kill Lamies and all Denizens.

Satō and Tanaka were following the birds' movements on the Crystal Altar. They had all crossed the Mana River and would gather soon. Margery thanked the boys and said she would leave the city after killing Lamies. Though the two objected and Satō was about to say that they wanted to go with her, Margery stated that she had had enough of hanging out with kids and silenced them. She told them she may visit them to have drinks one day. As Margery had expected, all the birds had gathered at Misaki Atrium Arch. Margery and Marchosias bid the boys farewell and raced to the Atrium, leaving the saddened boys behind. Margery wrapped herself in Toga and resolved to kill Lamies and all Crimson Denizens. Once she arrived, Margery activated a Fūzetsu around the building. She fell into the Fūzetsu and crashed through the ceiling to find Lamies.
