Thinking at Night III (夜に想う III Yoru ni Omou III) is the 32nd chapter of the Shakugan no Shana manga series.
Yūji confirmed to Shana his recommitting to helping her. Marchosias revealed some of Margery's past to Satō and Tanaka.

Yūji went downstairs to find Shana waiting for him, wearing a dress Chigusa had lent to her. Yūji figured that his mother had gotten the dress especially for Shana. He gave back Alastor's Cocytus back to Shana, but couldn't help staring at her. Yūji complimented Shana, making her embarrassed.

After dinner, Shana and Yūji were at the doorway, with Yūji again about to pretend to walk Shana home. Chigusa invited Shana to come eat with them again, and asked whether she should make breakfast for her tomorrow. Shana smiled and replied that Yūji was still weak, suggesting that they would resume their early-morning training.

On their walk, Yūji told Shana that he would start helping her tomorrow, but she had already heard from Alastor. After some silence, which made Shana anxious, Yūji asked her whether he was useless. Shana smiled and called him an idiot. Yūji understood what she meant and smiled at her, saying he would do his best. This made Shana blush and she left, embarrassed. Yūji bid her good night, and she did the same under her breath.
Margery finished another bottle of whiskey and collapsed. Marchosias told Satō and Tanaka that this was a common occurrence. As Tanaka picked his Grimoire up, Marchosias told them that they could be more informal when talking to him. As he picked up Margery, Satō said that he had thought Margery would have a higher alcohol tolerance, but Marchosias explained that she only had average tolerance and was pushing herself. Satō reflected on hearing how angry Margery was at Crimson Denizens before her fight with the other Flame Haze, and figured they had done something horrible to her. As Tanaka put Margery on the couch, he guessed that as Flame Haze were avengers, they must have killed her family or lover or someone similar. Marchosias said he'd show them Margery's past and the Grimoire flashed. The boys saw a vision of a destroyed building which was ablaze, with its inhabitants laying dead on the ground, and standing over the scene was a silver suit of armor. Inside the armor were many sets of insect legs and big, sneering eyes.
As Satō and Tanaka were struck with fear, Margery awoke and slammed Marchosias to stop the vision. Margery was angry that he had shown the boys that vision, but Marchosias didn't see what the big deal was. The boys thought that the armor was a Denizen that had taken away Margery's loved ones, but she said that that wasn't it. Marchosias had crossed over to this world right after that incident, but he couldn't find the armor, and explained that Denizens could also change their appearance, so they couldn't rely on it looking like that. He had also never heard of a Denizen with silver flames, but vowed to keep searching for it, together with Margery. Margery noted that Marchosias was being nice and prepared to sleep on the couch rather than one of Satō's beds. She told the boys that if they tried anything on her, she would kill them. Tanaka joked that he would have to give up on the idea. However, Margery explained this further, saying that Flame Haze were too strong and couldn't embrace others with all their strength. They had to be strong to survive, but that meant being alone for hundreds of years. As Margery fell asleep, Marchosias said that he was with her. Satō placed a sheet over Margery, and he and Tanaka turned off the light. They waved to Marchosias, and he bid them good night.
