Yūji and Alastor conversed about that day's events, and the need to defeat Margery.
Summary[]

Chigusa about to scold Yūji.
Chigusa greeted Yūji and Shana at the door when they returned and was shocked to see Shana injured with all her clothes ripped. Shana unconvincingly told her that she had fallen over. Chigusa told her to have a bath, and invited her to have dinner and stay the night with them if she wanted, but Shana said she would be okay going home. With Shana gone, Chigusa began to scold Yūji for making Shana cry, but forgave him because they appeared to be "good tears".

Yūji remembering what he had said to Shana.
In Yūji's room, Alastor praised Chigusa, saying he couldn't believe she was Yūji's mother. Yūji told Alastor that he now understood how foolish he had been, but had never thought that Shana would lose. Alastor said that he was too dependent on Shana and asked him what he had said to Shana that morning. Yūji couldn't forget it; he had said that it wouldn't matter if he was with Shana or not. He understood that he had pushed everything on to Shana by ditching the training he had asked for. He asked Alastor whether there was anything he could do, and Alastor replied that it was up to him. Alastor and Shana had never restricted Yūji regarding his actions. Alastor told Yūji to be ready and to think about what to do depending on the situation. Yūji smiled at him, and Alastor thought to himself that Yūji had already followed his advice previously, during the battle against Friagne.

Shana thinking about Yūji saying he would get stronger.
In the bath, Shana thought back to Yūji hugging her, apologizing, and saying that he would become stronger. Shana hugged herself and told Yūji to get stronger.

Yūji happy to accompany them in the next fight.
Yūji told Alastor that he had met Lamies, and Alastor told Yūji about Margery and Marchosias. Alastor planned to fight them again and believed that they were resting after the fight, as they hadn't used an Unrestricted Spell since. Yūji had some doubts about two Flame Haze fighting, but Alastor explained that they all had the same great cause, but had different interpretations of it and methods for carrying it out, leading to conflicts. It was just like what Lamies had said; Crimson Denizens and Flame Haze were no different from humans. Alastor stated that there was a more urgent reason to have a rematch with Margery than a conflict of differences or a grudge, and it had to do with the massive amount of Power of Existence Lamies had been collecting over hundreds of years. Lamies was controlling it using his own unique Unrestricted Spell, and if he was destroyed, the Power of Existence would be free from his control. With Misaki City already full of Torches and Distortions, the release of the Power of Existence could possibly cause a huge explosion. They had to defeat Margery so that this wouldn't occur. Alastor asked Yūji whether he still had Azure, which he always wore around his neck, and reluctantly suggested that Yūji accompany them in the fight, as he may help the situation. Yūji was happy to come. Alastor tried to explain that his suggestion wasn't due to Shana's feelings, but for strategy, when Chigusa called Yūji down for dinner, saying that Shana was waiting.

Margery drunk.
Inside the bar of Satō's house, Margery was heavily drunk and having fun with Satō and Tanaka. She liked the collection of whisky from her native Britain and told Satō she was jealous that he was rich. Satō explained that apart from himself, Tanaka, and his housekeepers, no one was ever at his house, and he allowed Margery to stay there. Margery suddenly started swinging Marchosias around. A confused Margery expected the boys to dodge her swings, thinking they were Flame Haze. She grabbed the boys and collapsed on the couch hugging them and began singing and swinging Marchosias again.
