Epilogue (エピローグ Epirōgu ) is the twentieth chapter of the Shakugan no Shana manga series.
To prepare for future battles, Yūji asked Shana to train him. The next day at school, Yoshida confronted Shana.
Summary[]
Yūji was up on his roof at night, looking at the ring that had saved him before, and he now wore it around his neck. Shana joined him on the roof, as he had told her he wanted to ask her something. From the battle with Friagne, Yūji had realized how dangerous the Reiji Maigo could be and how he was weak and a burden. He asked Shana to train him. As there would be battles in the future, he didn't want to have to always be protected, and wanted to at least be able to protect himself. Shana was pleased by this request and said that they would start tomorrow morning in his yard. Though he knew his mother would be able to see the training, Yūji agreed. Shana warned him to get up on time and left, smiling.
During lunch break at school, Satō noticed the scratches on Yūji's face. Though he teased Yūji, Satō and Tanaka were worried that Yūji had gotten into a fight. Ike noticed Yoshida standing in the corner of the room. She was trying to calm down and summon her courage, as she felt she would be left behind by Yukari. Yūji and the group watched as Yoshida confronted Shana and told her that she wouldn't lose to her. Shana asked Yūji what Yoshida meant. Yoshida gave Yūji a bento she had made, as he usually ate onigiri for lunch. Yūji was happy, but was intimidated by Shana's staring. Ike noticed that Shana called Yūji by his given name. Yūji tried to dismiss it but then pondered his feelings for Shana, though he couldn't determine what they were. Yūji blushed after thinking about Shana, and was being teased by Satō and Tanaka when Yoshida again said that she wouldn't lose. Shana threw a box of chocolate sticks at Yūji, saying she would give them to him. Yūji wondered what to do as Shana and Yoshida watched him and urged him to eat their food.

The irritated "Chanter of Elegies".
In a city, a woman cast a spell, and an Unrestricted Spell Insignia appeared above the city. She was the Flame Haze "Chanter of Elegies" Margery Daw. The book she was holding, her Crimson Lord Marchosias, said that the one they were chasing was good at running away. Margery told him to shut up. Marchosias noticed her irritation, and she complained about how long it was taking for her to kill a single fly.
