Shakugan no Shana SIV is the twenty-seventh volume of the Shakugan no Shana light novel series and the fifth side story collection volume.

The volume features the side stories Amphitheater and Quiddity, which were published in Dengeki Bunko Magazine and had not been published in a compiled volume, 3 very short stories,[1] and 2 newly written short stories.[3]

The volume was announced on May 23, 2023 as part of Dengeki Bunko's 30th Anniversary.[4] Releasing on November 10, the volume will be purchasable in limited edition sets, with one set including an A5 print of one of Noizi ItĆ's illustration for the Shakugan no Shana 20th Anniversary Online Lottery, one set including two boxes to store all volumes of Shakugan no Shana, and another set including both the print and the boxes.[5]
Friagne the Hunter[]

Customary for side story volumes, a new edition of Kariudo no Friagne Nandemo Shitsumon-bakoââ would be featured at the back of the volume. Fans were encouraged to tweet questions they want answered with the hashtag ă·ăŁăææ°ć ("Shana Newest Book"), where chosen questions will be answered by Friagne in the volume. The deadline for questions was the end of June 23. Questions need to not spoil key points or the conclusion of the story, and not violate third party copyright or public policy.[4]
Questions and answers which could not be published in the volume due to page constraints were published on Twitter by the official Dengeki Bunko Twitter account as Kariudo no Friagne Nandemo Shitsumon-bako ShucchĆ-ban.
Dengeki Bunko 30th Anniversary[]
Noizi ItĆ contributed a congratulatory autograph for Dengeki Bunko's 30th anniversary[6] and a new illustration for the Super Dengeki Bunko Exhibition.[7]
Shakugan no Shana Film Concert[]
The Shakugan no Shana Film Concert was announced on July 15 and is to be held on September 16 at Tokorozawa Sakura Town. The concert will feature the screening of anime scenes along with performances by Heartbeat Ensemble and special guest KOTOKO, who will also cover songs by Mami Kawada.[8] Two new illustrations of Shana were released to promote the concert and new official goods would be sold at the event.[3]
