Shakugan no Shana Final Appreciation Event[]

Cafe Mai:lish is a maid café in Akihabara. From January 7-15, 2012, the café held the "Shakugan no Shana Final Appreciation Event" (灼眼のシャナIII ファイナル感謝祭?), during which the café was Shakugan no Shana themed. A special menu was created and customers would get original goods for attending and additional goods for ordering from the special menu. A raffle was also held to win original goods and rare goods would be given out if customers brought Shakugan no Shana DVDs and CDs on sale at that time to the café. During the event, waitresses wore Shana and Wilhelmina cosplay. For Shana cosplays, waitresses wore both summer and winter Misaki Municipal High School uniforms. The café had only one set of Wilhelmina cosplay, so it was rare to see a Wilhelmina waitress. Anime character design sheets, including ones never published in anime magazines, were displayed inside.[5]

Special Menu[]

  • Wilhelmina's homemade cabbage roll (improved version): A successful version of the cabbage roll Wilhelmina attempted to make.
  • Flame-Haired Burning-Eyed pasta: Pasta with red sauce, inspired by Shana.
  • Shana's highly recommended melonpan: A melonpan that is karikari mofumofu, crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside, the way Shana likes them. Limited to 30-50 a day. These melonpan were specially ordered from a bakery to follow Shana's conditions shown in the novels, such as how they "shouldn't have any scent of flavoring", "adding juice inside is heresy", and "the mesh pattern is essential". They were freshly baked and arrived just before the café opened each day.[3]
  • "Flame-Haired Burning-Eyed Hunter" (Shana): A drink inspired by Shana.
  • "One Displaced From This World" (この世から外れた者?) (Torch): A drink inspired by the Mystes Yūji. Blue ice cubes (Torches) melt into the faint blue gradation of the drink.
  • "Chanter of Elegies" Margery: A drink inspired by Margery.

Different dishes were available for order on different days of the event. Alcoholic drinks were also available, inspired by Hecate and Bel-Peol among others.[3]
