Kazumi Yoshida's Diary (吉田一美の日記 Yoshida Kazumi no Nikki?) is the fourth track and second audio drama of the Shakugan no Shana Assorted Shana Vol. I soundtrack.

Yoshida wrote in her diary about the wonderful yet delusional week she has had with Yūji.

Summary[]

In her room, Yoshida reflected on being tense seeing Yūji that day, since she hadn't seen him for two days prior to that day, and wished school was on during weekends. She wrote in her diary about that day, Monday May 16, and how she had been downhearted until cheering up upon seeing Yūji's smile. She recalled that their class had undergone a seating rearrangement.

Earlier that day, in the classroom, Yoshida had wondered who would sit next to her as Ike conducted the rearrangement. The female students were already seated and the male students had finished drawing lots. Ike instructed the male students to not swap their drawn seat numbers with each other. Kobayashi had drawn the seat to the right of Yoshida, who wished for Yūji to be seated to her left. She watched as Yūji talked with another student. Yūji was being persistently asked to swap numbers when Ike approached. Yūji had drawn number 5, a seat at the back next to Yoshida. Yoshida became flustered when she saw Yūji looking her way and Ike noticed Yoshida staring at them. Yūji assured Ike that Yoshida couldn't have known his number, and claimed that the number he would be receiving wasn't bad either. Since the deal seemed mutual, Ike allowed it. Yoshida's heart was beating fast in her nervousness. She then saw Yūji go to a seat at the front, next to Ogata, and was disappointed. Ogata thought that Yūji had swapped numbers with Tanaka, and Yūji claimed that that was the number he had drawn, though Ogata didn't believe him. To the other side of Yūji was Shana, which shocked Yoshida.

Writing in her diary, Yoshida had heard Ogata's complaints about the seat swapping and initially thought Yūji had swapped seats in order to be next to Shana. But it had to have been a coincidence.

On Tuesday May 17, Yoshida wrote about making a large bento for Yūji, who had eaten it all.

Earlier that day, at lunchtime, Yoshida had given Yūji the bento but had to go to the staff room. As she left, she saw Yūji rubbing his stomach. She thought it was his warming up exercise and was happy that he was going to eat it. Just looking at the overloaded lunch was making Yūji full. Tanaka approached him and offered to help him eat it all. Tanaka started eating the bento and in his enjoyment, finished the whole thing, leaving nothing for Yūji. After Yūji complained about having no other food for lunch, Tanaka claimed he was going to the toilet and bolted. Yūji wondered what he would say to Yoshida. Yoshida returned to the classroom, ecstatic that Yūji had seemingly eaten the bento. She saw that he looked depressed, but thought it was because he had finished eating. Yūji decided to pretend that he had eaten the bento and told Yoshida that it was delicious, but his stomach growled. Shana heard it and offered Yūji melonpan, which he took, shocking Yoshida.

Writing in her diary, Yoshida recalled that Yūji had been happy and initially considered that Shana had saved a melonpan for him. But it had to have been a coincidence.

Wednesday May 18, Yoshida met Yūji in the library.

Earlier that day, in the school library, Yoshida had been looking for a book, but it was missing from its shelf. She saw Yūji with Satō at a table, apparently studying. Satō was showing Yūji his idol swimsuit photo book and was urging Yūji to relax with it instead of focusing on difficult books. Yoshida noticed that the book Yūji had was the one she wanted to borrow and thought of this as a fateful connection between them. She wondered what Satō's book was, as Yūji was looking at it happily. Yūji marveled at the idol, who was supposedly around the same age as them, and Satō offered to lend the book to him. Yūji was about to accept when Yoshida approached, startling them. Yoshida saw the photo book, featuring idols in audacious swimsuits, and Yūji truthfully told her it was for their relaxation after studying. Yoshida told Yūji about wanting to use his book, after which he handed it to her, saying he was done with it, and dismissed her. After Yoshida left, Satō asked if it was alright for Yūji to give the book to her, as Shana had given it to him. Yūji had wanted to keep using it, but it couldn't be helped. Yoshida saw that Yūji was back looking at the photo book. She wondered if he liked girls like that idol, and thought he was comparing the idol to her. Though Yoshida had the biggest breasts in the school and was reputed for being cute, she didn't know if she could beat that idol. Shana came to check if Yūji was studying and saw that Yoshida had the book. She grabbed the book from Yoshida and gave it back to Yūji by hitting him with it.

Writing in her diary, Yoshida recalled how Shana could be overbearing, but thought it wrong to say such things about her friend. She was concerned that Shana knew Yūji had been studying with that book, but thought it was just a coincidence.

Thursday May 19, Yūji protected Yoshida like a prince during Phys Ed. class.

Earlier that day, in the school gym, Yoshida was on Yūji's team for a volleyball match, but saw that he was in conversation with Ogata. She believed that even if Ogata was her rival for Yūji, she wouldn't lose because she was Yūji's princess. Ogata was eager for the match, as she was a regular on the volleyball club team. She was concerned about Shana, who was on the opposing team, and theorized that Shana would target their team's weakness, Yoshida, who was staring at them. Yoshida saw Yūji smiling while looking at her and believed her feelings had gotten through to him. Ogata was concerned by Yoshida's smiling and planned for herself to attack and Yūji to receive and cover for Yoshida, to his disbelief. As the match started, Yūji rushed towards Yoshida, and she thought he would reciprocate her feelings in front of everyone. Yūji yelled at Yoshida to watch out, but she misheard him as saying he loved her. While she was thinking about what to do, Yoshida was struck by the ball. Yūji asked if she was alright, but she misheard him as saying he would marry her. Yoshida decided to be Yūji's bride and embraced him. The match restarted and Yūji was smashed in the head by the ball and lost consciousness. As a crowd formed around Yūji, Yoshida thought of him as her prince who protected her from the ball. Shana came and told Yoshida to move.

Writing in her diary, Yoshida again thought of Yūji as her prince and she wanted their wedding to take place in a small church. She recalled that Shana had princess-carried Yūji to the school infirmary, but thought it was just a coincidence.

Friday May 20, Yoshida and Yūji conducted their wedding ceremony.

Earlier that day, after school, everyone was going home, and Yoshida believed they were preparing her wedding ceremony and imagined how she would walk down the aisle and exchange marriage vows with Yūji. Ogata was yelling at Tanaka and Satō for trying to leave, as all 3 were on cleaning duty that day. Tanaka argued that Ogata could do it all herself, but Ogata explained that Yūji and Ike were staying back in case he and Satō left. Ogata ordered Tanaka to go and throw out what was in the rubbish bin, but Tanaka thought this was unfair and wanted to decide fairly using rock paper scissors. Yoshida saw the two tussling and wanted them to stop fighting over who got to throw the rice, as this was an important day for Yūji and herself. Since the rice shower was being prepared, it was almost time for the wedding, and so Yoshida continued her rehearsal. Tanaka and Ogata were still arguing when Satō suggested that the two take out the rubbish together, which Ike and Yūji agreed with. Ogata was flustered by the idea and kicked the rubbish bin, which hit Yoshida in the head. Yoshida remarked that they were all being hasty, and as the others didn't know what she was talking about, they thought that she had become disoriented. Ike asked Yoshida if she was alright, but to her, he sounded like a marriage officiant. Yoshida agreed to her vows, further bewildering the others. Shana came to get Yūji to go home with him and Yūji left. Ike was again concerned for Yoshida, who heard the officiant beckoning for the wedding kiss, which Yoshida went through with.

Writing in her diary, Yoshida recalled how great the wedding ceremony was, where even Shana had blessed her. She wanted to talk with Yūji about where to go for their honeymoon, but was still too embarrassed to call him anything more than "Sakai-kun". Yoshida wondered why Yūji had left his bride and went home with Shana, but thought it was just a coincidence. Since it was Friday, Yoshida wouldn't see Yūji for another 2 days. If she was patient, she would be happier when she saw him again. Yoshida wished for it to be Monday already. She closed her diary and bid goodnight to Yūji.
