Shōhi Ginsei (嘯飛吟声 , Scattering Roar, Chanting Voice) is a technique that is unique to Shaher and her servants, such as Rofocale.
It is one of the Crimson Gods' Divine Summonings. The ceremony's aim is to summon Shaher's voice which is sent to every single person involving the Crimson Realm; Flame Haze and Crimson Denizens alike. This voice cannot be blocked meaning everyone will know about the news Shaher announces.
These voices are referred to by others as the Oracle (神託 Shintaku ).
Background[]
Shaher's voice will be summoned through the sacrifice of her designated servants who roam the world searching for the new thing which has to be informed to everyone. As Shaher possesses no physical body, she drifts among her servants' senses as a spiritual body to see and hear things they witness.
When one discovers something worthy to be known, like a fleeting new light without guidance, Shaher's only spiritual message (霊告 Reikoku ), "this shall be known", will descend upon that servant. Then, the Divine Will Recalling (神意召還 Shin'i Shōkan ) begins. An area where her selected servant perform the ceremony is called the White-clothed Tower (皓衣の台 Kōe no Utena ). The chosen servant will be covered in entrancing white and called to the sky where they are converted into a force which echoed throughout the whole world.[1]
Among her servants, this is known as to "chant the Forewarning Song (先触れの歌 Sakibure no Uta )", which they view it as the greatest honour ones could ever received.
This distinctive ceremony has been performed more than other Divine Summonings. The news she had announced includes how to cross the rifts, Flame Haze's creation, the existence of the Treasure Tool, a Spell to take human shape, Fūzetsu and Révolution's manifesto. The latest use of this Divine Summoning was when Rofocale discovered the Heir to Both Worlds.
However, her Oracle only spreads in the world where she is present; in other words, those back in the Crimson Realm cannot hear her while Shaher stays in the Human World. This also indicates that Crimson Denizens who later cross over to Xanadu from the Crimson Realm, aka the Newcomers (新参 Shinzan ), did not hear her Oracle at the climax of the Second Great War.[2]
Trivia[]
- The ceremony's name is the usage of the God's true names: Shōhi Ginsei from Shaher's name, Kaku no Shōgin.
