Ratziel (ラツィエル Ratsieru) is a character created by Kazuma Kamachi for his short story, Prison of Destruction. He is a Crimson Lord with the true name "Domain of Esoteric Theory" (秘説の領域 Hisetsu no Ryōiki) and has made a contract with "Hidden Pursuer" Notburga.
Personality[]
Ratziel speaks in a low man's voice.[2] When Notburga asks for Release of Leonardus, Ratziel swears to God and refers to himself as a spirit handing it down to a believer.[1]
Background[]
After the Prison of Destruction Incident, Notburga developed Ratziel's Divine Vessel for 500 years to draw out more of Ratziel's power.
Plot[]
Prison of Destruction[]
During Notburga's fight with Yūji Sakai, Ratziel tried to warn her of Yūji's diversion, but is was too late to prevent Yūji's finishing blow.[3] After Notburga was defeated by Yūji, Ratziel was going to use his own Flame Haze-killing powers to pry Notburga open and forcibly manifest while she was still alive, but Yūji managed to convince him to lead Notburga down a new path of life.

Ratziel cared deeply for Notburga, lamenting not being able to help her find her beloved Lord and pitying her for the path her life had taken.[2] Ratziel tried to use his power to kill Notburga by manifesting in order to free her from her path, but was persuaded by Yūji to seek a new path together with her.[4]
Powers and Abilities[]
Ratziel has a Flame Haze-killing power, a portion of which is endowed in Release of Leonardus for Notburga's use. He can use his powers on Notburga in order to forcibly manifest while she is still alive, something that would otherwise be impossible.
