Providence (プロビデンス Purobidensu) was the inherent Unrestricted Spell used by "Officer of Boundless Seas" Decarabia, a Herold of Bal Masqué. It used Decarabia's scales as an intermediary to transmit information and Unrestricted Spells.[1]

Decarabia was able to detach his scales and turn them into input and output organs. These scales would be used as intermediaries for all sorts of information exchange.[1] From the detached scales, he could see, hear, and communicate with others at multiple places at once, and he could even wield Unrestricted Spells directly at distant locations.[1] While the effect of Providence was activating, a human-sized Unrestricted Spell Insignia, in the shape of a circle with a pentagram inside it and an eye in the center, rose from the scale.
Though there were other Unrestricted Spells which could bring about a similar effect for a short time and over a short distance, Providence was unique in that the duration of its effect was perpetual and there was no limit to its range,[1] meaning its effect was so wide that it could cover the whole world. There was a limit to the number of scales Decarabia could produce, but it was still easy for him to have a grasp of the battlefields spread around the world while staying in one place.
Furthermore, every scale on Decarabia's gigantic body was a catalyst for Providence. In emergencies, Decarabia would retrieve all his scales and activate all the scales on his body so that they functioned as input and output organs, covering his entire body in an Unrestricted Spell. They would function as a powerful moving armor, allowing his fish body to penetrate and ward off any attack.[1] However, this consumed an enormous amount of Power of Existence.
Decarabia also used Providence to aid Priestess Hecate with her "Instructions".[1]
