The Prison of Destruction Incident (『討滅の獄』事件 "Tōmetsu no Goku" Jiken ) was a conflict described in the non-canon short story by Kazuma Kamachi, Prison of Destruction.
Background[]
The Prison of Destruction Incident was a source of chaos after the Great War of the 16th century.[1] It refers to the killing of around 70 of the weak and unstable Instant Flame Haze, who were harming the balance of the world, by conventional Flame Haze. This number of lives lost at once meant that the Prison of Destruction Incident was among the top 10 deadliest events in Flame Haze history.[2] Among the true Flame Haze subjugators were Khamsin Nbh'w and Notburga.[3] It was possible that Syrus Lellis was an Instant Flame Haze who was on the subjugating side, given his remarks about having achievements from the chaos after the Great War, meaning the more stable Instant Flame Haze helped purge their distorted brethren.
It was likely that one of the Instant Flame Haze possessed the Treasure Tool Prison of Destruction around the time of the battle. Notburga destroyed the Treasure Tool and fled after its destruction didn't affect the Instant Flame Haze's contracts,[4] with this being witnessed by Khamsin.[5]
In the Modern Era, Notburga slaughtered at least 47 Flame Haze, some of which would have been Instant Flame Haze, and this incident was likened to the Prison of Destruction Incident.
