Penemue (ペネムエ Penemue) is a character created by Kazuma Kamachi for his short story, Prison of Destruction. Penemue's true name was "Written Blessing" (筆記の恩恵 Hikki no Onkei) and he had been the Crimson Lord bound to Syrus Lellis.
Background[]
Penemue had contracted with Lellis by the end of the Great War, as Lellis had helped quell the chaos after it. It was possible that he had been forced into the contract by Lellis using Prison of Destruction.
Plot[]
Prison of Destruction[]
As Lellis was killed by Notburga in Ōto City, Penemue was released from their contract and returned to the Crimson Realm. If Lellis had been an Instant Flame Haze, due to the effects of Prison of Destruction, Penemue would be unable to manifest or return to the Crimson Realm and would be destroyed.

Syrus Lellis[]
Penemue didn't say a word to Lellis as the latter was hunted down by Notburga, possibly due to Penemue being under the effects of Prison of Destruction and resenting Lellis.

- Penemue's name is derived from the angel of the same name, a watcher in Enochian lore.
