Matake Ogata's senpai is an unnamed character in the audio drama During the Usual After-school Time.... She is an older student in the Misaki Municipal High School volleyball club who has a senpai-kōhai relationship with Matake Ogata.

The student is friendly and shows concern for others. She admired the intimacy displayed by Shana and Yūji Sakai.[1]
Background[]
The student is a second or third-year at Misaki Municipal High School and a member of the volleyball club. She is familiar with Eita Tanaka and Keisaku Satō's bad reputations from middle school.[1]
The student had once been in town and had seen Tanaka get into a fight with a group of people in order to protect her female classmate. Later, she had gone with the classmate to class 1-2 to thank Tanaka. Though Tanaka had seemed unsociable, the student felt his kindness and fell in love with him.[1]
Plot[]
The student approached Matake Ogata during a volleyball club practice session and wanted to ask her for advice. After the session, the student confessed that she loved Tanaka and thought Ogata, who was in the same class as him, would know if he had a girlfriend or liked anyone. Through Ogata's emotional rant trying to dissuade her, she realized that Ogata also loved Tanaka. When Tanaka arrived, Ogata told Tanaka to take the student to a concert and ran off.[1]
The student had first asked Tanaka whether he was dating anyone, and after he had said he wasn't, she asked some more things. It is left up to interpretation what the student asked, but after the conversation, she went home and Tanaka went to Ogata.[1]

The student has a senpai-kōhai relationship with the younger Ogata, and is friendly to her. It is likely that she didn't confess her feelings to Tanaka out of consideration for Ogata, and instead told him to make up with her.
Eita Tanaka[]
The student fell in love with Tanaka after feeling his kindness despite his socially awkward personality.
