- "I desire... everything. I desire! Come to me!"
- —To himself while drawing Dantalion's robots to himself.
Mammon (マモン Mamon ) was referred to as one of the most powerful Crimson Lords under Bal Masqué. His true name was "Golden Palm of Wishful Demands" (冀求の金掌 Kikyū no Kinshō ) and the color of his flame was bright yellow.
Appearance[]
Mammon appears as a tall man of indistinguishable age. He wears a dark gray top hat, tailcoat and manteau. His clothing gives him a gentlemanly image. His clothes appear to be very similar to how a conductor of an orchestra or a band would appear; which fits the nature of his Unrestricted Spell. However, despite possessing good looks, his face has a peculiar feature: a pair of long fangs.
In the anime, he doesn't wear a top hat. He has deep red eyes, a pale complexion, and long, blonde hair.
Personality[]
His voice is described as "having a persistent charm", and speaks with a confident flair. As a member of Bal Masqué, Mammon is seen as a cool-headed leader, always able to present his opinions with dignity. He is also seen as a person who is calm and collected most of the time. This does not even change in battles against Flame Haze. As a result, Leraje comments that he is a "suspicious-looking" person. Vetcherniaia also calls him an "overbearing snob" (強引な気取り屋 Gōin na Kidori-ya ).
Background[]
Mammon, as one of the oldest Lords of the past, joined the ceremony of the Snake of the Festival a few thousand years ago. He didn't join the Ancient War, but he still viewed the battle between the Denizens and the Flame Haze. Two years before the story starts, Zarovee was his subordinate in Central Asia.
Plot[]
Biding Time Arc[]
Mammon attends Bel-Peol's strategy meeting at Seireiden with Stolas.[1]
In the bar at Seireiden, Mammon is drinking when Sydonay announces that he will be leaving on a mission. Mammon tells him that the Bal Masqué members that will stay at Seireiden will act as shields for the Trinity while they fight for the Grand Order. He then watches Sydonay converse with Decarabia.[2]
Battle of Seireiden Arc[]
Mammon is in the crowd as Yūji gives a speech before entering the Divine Gate with the Trinity. He and the other Denizens cheer when Decarabia orders them to move out. Mammon then leads an Outlaw Demolition Army to attack the Outlaw headquarters in Western Egypt.[3]
In a decisive battle against the Flame Haze Army in Western Egypt, Mammon is tasked to lead as the commander overseeing the evacuation process. He later meets up with Orobas' forces in Greece. Despite being of a higher rank than Orobas, who has become commander for the overall evacuation, he sincerely follows Orobas' order without any opposition.
In the middle of the evacuation, at the base on the outskirts of Tehran in Iran, upon replenishing their supplies, they encounter some troops being pursued by Seere and Chiara. Mammon serves as Bal Masqué's hidden trump card, intercepting Seere and Chiara, who were sent to try to delay the Western Outlaw Demolition Army lead by Haborym.[4]
Mammon's army engages in battle with Seere and Chiara's army before they all feel the Cradle Quake, a cataclysm caused by the awakening of the Snake of the Festival's true body. As Chiara flies above the battlefield, Mammon uses Donshishō to control her vessel.[5]
With Mammon's help, they succeed in blocking their attacks. When the Flame Haze start to retreat, Mammon uses his power to capture Chiara who was, to his surprise, only a puppet created by Seere.
Final Battle of Misaki City Arc[]
As Kazumi and Yūji arrive on the roof of Misaki Municipal High School, Mammon, along with Sydonay, Pirsoyn, Ribesal, Orobas, Leraje, Bel-Peol, Haborym, and Stolas, line up around a carpet leading to Seireiden to greet her.[6]
As a black Fūzetsu is cast over Misaki City, Mammon and the other members of Bal Masqué watch Yūji and Kazumi ascend to Seireiden. Later, Mammon is with Bel-Peol in Dantalion's factory, where the two watch the Denizens marching towards the ceremony of Xanadu through an Unrestricted Spell. They talk about the day being one to remember before Mammon uses the spell to tell Hecate that it is time to start the third stage of the Grand Order. They watch as Hecate begins the third stage.[7]
Near the Seireiden tower, Mammon again confronts Seere and Chiara. He begins fighting Chiara and while she flies overhead, he uses Donshishō to disrupt her movement. Later, Dantalion reinforces the Seireiden tower after it was damaged by Khamsin Nbh'w but leaves its control center exposed. Chiara attacks it but Mammon is able to block the attack with Donshishō. He sends the blast back at Chiara, but she takes it head-on and comes out unscathed.[8]
As Seere tries to damage Seireiden with his giant lion puppet, Mammon protects the tower and destroys the lion. He is surprised when Seere disconnects himself from the puppet rushes to attack the control center, claiming that the Lord is too "horrendously dangerous" to send to Xanadu. As Seere is about to attack, Dantalion activates the control center's electric field, which zaps him. Mammon tries to use Donshishō on him but is attacked by Chiara. As he blocks the attacks, the two Flame Haze retreat.[9]
Mammon watches as Chiara and Seere destroy Dantalion's Kisan no Taiken robots. He also looks at Khamsin fighting the robots and worries about what the Engage Link are up to before deciding to make his move. Mammon uses Donshishō to move rocks and tries to crush Chiara and Seere, who evade them. Later, as Dantalion fires missiles at the Flame Haze, Seere falls off of Chiara's jet. Mammon waits until Chiara goes back for Seere, and when they are centimeters away from each other, he uses Donshishō to control Chiara's vessel. As Mammon sends Chiara flying away, Dantalion instructs his robot which is closest to Seere to explode. Mammon watches as Seere launches the robot to the control center with an Unrestricted Spell before it explodes, vaporizing Dantalion, Domino, and everything in a thirty-meter radius. As Mammon watches, Chiara is able to cleave him in half. As she is about to return to finish him, Pirsoyn uses Daimōn to conceal Mammon. Beneath Daimōn's smoke, Mammon thanks Pirsoyn for saving him but informs him that Dantalion's Kisan no Taiken are now out of control and tells him to withdraw. To protect the tower, Mammon draws all the robots to him with Donshishō before they all explode and obliterate him.[10]

Unrestricted Spells[]
Donshishō (貪恣掌 Self-Indulgent Coveting Palm ): He is proud of this Unrestricted Spell, which allows him to use a tremendous amount of force to pull things towards him or to push objects aside. Flame Haze like "Archer of Aurora" Chiara Toscana and "Puppeteer of Devilish Skills" Seere Habichtsburg have experienced fighting against Mammon in the past; as they've already been warned how masterful Mammon is from other Flame Haze when they made their contracts. With it, he is able to create a barrier which can absorb and repel attacks.[8] While he is using the spell on an object, Mammon is able to stick to it like a magnet.[10]
Quotes[]
- (To Dantalion after blocking the attack on Seireiden): "Please do not give me unexpected worries, Professor Dantalion."[8]
- (To Seere after he tried to damage Seireiden): "What the God of Creation makes, the fruits of our wishes need not be damaged!"[9]
- (Mammon while drawing Dantalion's robots to himself): "I desire... everything. I desire! Come to me!"[10]
