Human World

The Human World (人間の世界 Ningen no Sekai?)[1][2][3] is the world in which humans live. It is most commonly referred to as This World (この世 Kono Yo?) by its inhabitant Crimson Denizens and people who are aware of The Truth of This World. Other names for it include the Real World (現実世界 Genjitsu Sekai?),[4][5] the Present World (現世 Gense?),[6][5] and Next Door (隣 Tonari?) from the perspective of Denizens in the Crimson Realm.

The Snake of the Festival created the New World Xanadu, a perfect copy of this world save for having unlimited Power of Existence and lacking Misaki City. After Xanadu's creation, this world came to be referred to as the Old World (旧世界 Kyūsekai?).

The Crimson Realm adjacent to Earth.

This world is adjacent to the Crimson Realm, though it cannot be physically reached and is separated from it by the Rift Between Both Worlds. All existences in this world exist because they naturally possess Power of Existence. Crimson Denizens are able to cross over to this world, but need to convert humans into Power of Existence and devour them in order to remain in this world. When Power of Existence is lost, this world attempts to recompense that conversion and loss with its own power, an elastic force known as Distortions.[7]

After the creation of Xanadu in the Rift Between Both Worlds, Denizens are no longer able to cross between this world and the Crimson Realm, only between the Crimson Realm and Xanadu.

"This World" is mostly used in the context of the planet Earth, but has been mentioned by Lamies as having an infinite number of stars, with the Crimson Realm being adjacent to Earth because of the inherent similarities between humans and Crimson Denizens.[8]
