Hishoku no Sora (緋色の空, lit. "Scarlet Sky") is the first opening theme song of the anime series Shakugan no Shana. The song is composed by Tomoyuki Nakazawa and is performed and written by Mami Kawada. Tomoyuki Nakazawa and Takeshi Ozaki handled the arrangement for the song. It is Kawada's 2nd single. It peaked at #11 in the Oricon charts and sold a total of 36,661 copies. "Hishoku no Sora" was initially released as a single on November 9, 2005 and was later released in Kawada's album Seed. The song was used as the opening theme for episodes 1-16 and the ending theme of episode 24 of the first season. It was used as an insert song in episode 24 of the third season.
