The Head Ball (首玉 Kubitama)[1] Rinne was one of the group of Rinne created by "Hunter" Friagne.
Appearance[]
The Head Ball Rinne was a ball made up of mannequin heads put together, with some of the heads having hair and others without. It was at least double a human's height.[2] The mannequin head in the middle was larger than the rest.[3]
Personality[]
The Head Ball Rinne chastised the Huge Kewpie Rinne for its manners while devouring humans.[4][5] When the central head talked, its voice was a piercing,[6] woman's voice. It used the honorable prefix "on" (御) when referring to Crimson Denizens. The Head Ball seemed to be more intelligent than the Huge Kewpie, as it was able to work out that Yūji Sakai was a special type of Mystes.[7]
Plot[]
"Flame-Haired Burning-Eyed Hunter" Arc[]
The Head Ball Rinne and the Huge Kewpie Rinne arrived at the Misaki City shopping district after a Fūzetsu had been cast and began devouring the people nearby. The Head Ball was then incapacitated by the "Flame-Haired Burning-Eyed Hunter", but rushed at the Flame Haze and sacrificed itself to allow Marianne to escape.
In the anime and movie, it was the Head Ball Rinne who devoured Yukari Hirai. It was also implied by the "Flame-Haired Burning-Eyed Hunter" that Marianne, who had already been within a Mannequin Rinne, had been further hiding herself inside the Head Ball Rinne until they were attacked.
Powers and Abilities[]
The Head Ball Rinne could devour Power of Existence using its many mouths. It was sturdy enough to survive being kicked into buildings by the "Flame-Haired Burning-Eyed Hunter". It was capable of rushing at enemies with great speed.
