Guren no Kyowan (紅蓮の巨腕, Gigantic Arm of Crimson) is an Unrestricted Spell acquired by Shana during her late-night training. It allows her to manifest flames as physical object. Guren no Kyowan takes form of a fiery arm that is neither fully armored nor bare flesh and fingers with clawed tips.
Background[]
After she was able to manifest the Guren no Sōyoku in the fight with Margery Daw, Shana began training her powers as the "Flame-Haired Burning-Eyed Hunter". Compared to the Guren no Ōdachi which she has learned around the same time, the structure of the Guren no Kyowan was less stable, causing the arm to wobble when swung; she continued with the training nonetheless.

Shortly before Yūji Sakai's return to Misaki City, Shana was able to manifest the Guren no Kyowan at a size of around 20 meters, but she could only maintain it stably at half that size.[1] Seeking advice, she consulted Margery Daw and Wilhelmina Carmel. Later, with guidance from Wilhelmina, who explained how Shana's predecessor wielded her power, Shana realized that the image to be used to solidify the Guren no Kyowan was "herself," allowing her to successfully stabilize the arm.[2]
In her first battle with Yūji, Shana used this spell to counter him when he was protected by the Treasure Tool Azure. Since he did not know about this spell which manifested flames as physical objects, she managed to catching Yūji off guard, sending him flying through several houses in the process.[3]
After Shana had fully awakened to her true strength, both the Guren no Kyowan and Guren no Sōyoku were considered parts of her Unrestricted Spell Shinku.
Trivia[]
- The name "Guren no Kyowan" comes from the narrative, and was never named by Shana.
