GRIMOIRE (グリモア Gurimoa ) is a booklet that comes with limited editions of the second volume of the manga series. It features contributions from other illustrators, mangaka and light novel writers, using Shakugan no Shana as a theme.

GRIMOIRE contains 7 color illustrations:
- The cover illustration, by Kiyotaka Haimura (灰村キヨタカ ), illustrator of Toaru Majutsu no Index. This illustration was also used for the short story Prison of Destruction, which Haimura also provided an illustration for.
- One by Yū Shīna (椎名優 ), a freelance illustrator and artist for The Legend of Heroes: Trails in the Sky. Shīna later provided a Shakugan no Shana illustration in a Dengeki Daioh art book.
- One by Kichiemo (きちえも ), a member of the doujin circle Fujitsubo-Machine along with Noizi Itō.[2]
- One by Okito Endō (袁藤沖人 ), a mangaka, illustrator, and graphic designer.
- One by Tsukasa Kiryū (輝竜司 ), who went on to become the illustrator of So I'm a Spider, So What?.
- One by Peach-Pit, a group of two mangaka who created manga such as Rozen Maiden and Shugo Chara!.
- The back cover illustration, by Torishimo (とりしも ), illustrator of Bludgeoning Angel Dokuro-Chan. This illustration was also used for the short story Shakugan Shōjo Shana-chan, which Torishimo also provided two illustrations for.

- GRIMOIRE was advertised to contain a column by Daisuke Kazami (風見大輔 ), the Fūzetsu and Crystal Altar designer for the manga series,[3] but no such column was actually present in the booklet.
