"Rinne and Divine Vessel Edition" (燐子と神器編 Rin'ne to Jingi-hen ) is the fourth episode of Friagne and Marianne no Naze Nani Shana!. It was released on the fourth Shakugan no Shana DVD volume.
Summary[]
Friagne remarked that "Flame of Heaven" has been put in a difficult situation. He scoffed when Marianne mentioned that the Mystes boy was on the move, but had to admit that the boy had found one of the Rinne the "Aizen Siblings" had made. This may mean that the Mystes, Yūji Sakai, wouldn't remain a mere boy forever.
Marianne wanted to confirm that she was also a Rinne. Friagne tried to say that she was nothing like the unpleasant flowers the siblings have made, but Marianne was a Rinne by definition. Rinne are created when an object of this world is imbued with Power of Existence. Though they can gather Power of Existence, they cannot add any to their own. Therefore, if they are not supplied with Power of Existence, they cannot maintain their existences. Many Rinne are servants of Denizens and simply receive Power of Existence from them. However, Marianne was different because Friagne was also pouring his overflowing love into her. Since Rinne can be made from any object, their shape depends on the Denizen's preferences. Friagne thought it was fate that he and Marianne had met, and any other doll wouldn't have satisfied him. Marianne expressed her gratitude to Friagne.
Marianne asked why "Flame of Heaven" was hanging from the neck of "Flame-Haired Burning-Eyes" despite being a Crimson Lord like Friagne. Friagne explained that Divine Vessels are devices created by Crimson Lords to express their will after making contracts with Flame Haze and putting their true forms to rest within the Flame Haze's body. Though the "Flame of Heaven" was a pendant, "Claw and Fangs of Violation" expresses his will from a book under the "Chanter of Elegies"' arm; the Cocytus and Grimoire respectively. They take a different form for each Flame Haze, and Friagne had heard that the Flame Haze decided what form the Divine Vessel would take at the time of the contract. He thought it similar to how Denizens created Rinne and guessed that it was because they were both inhabitants of the Crimson Realm.
Marianne informed Friagne that the show had reached its end.
