François Auric (フランソワ・オーリック Furansowa Ōrikku) is the Flame Haze with the title "Conveyor of Posture" (姿影の派し手 Shiei no Hashite). He is contracted to "Miraculous Springs of Settlement" Grogach, who is sealed inside the jar-shaped Divine Vessel named "Spread".
Appearance[]
François has the appearance of a young man with long blond hair that covers both of his eyes. He has a lanky physique and wears clothes that give him the look of an adventurer or a safari explorer, with a plump pouch hanging on his back. He is usually seen carrying the seemingly heavy Divine Vessel Spread, a large jar, on his back.[1]

François is a very nervous man who seems to lack composure and easily stutters when excited, even though he has survived many battles, including the Great War.
Background[]
During the Great War[]
He serves in Sophie Sawallisch's army along with her most trusted subordinates, Alex and Denis. Though not much is explained what post François is appointed to, but it is highly implied that he serves as a scout judging from his abilities. When the war ends with Flame Haze army's victory, he sends message to Sophie, informing her that the storm is coming this way and would help clearing the battlefield.
Plot[]
Second Great War[]
François becomes the Adjutant of Sophie, the Supreme Commander, after the loss of Alex and Denis during the war with Révolution. He assists in timing the schedule of the operation using his power to analyze weather. When Seireiden loses its power to conceal the presence, he along with Sophie's group make an attack on the fallen fortress.
After the Snake of the Festival's annunciation of his plan to build the new world, François, like others, becomes distracted and feels lost (to the extent he want to run away) but later comes to his sense and retreats to Tendōkyū along with other survived Flame Haze.

Powers and Abilities[]
Water Manipulation (水の操作 Mizu no Sōsa): François' abilities revolve around the manipulation of water. He is able to use rivers and waterways for long-distance interference and detection, while he can use precipitation like rain and snow to communicate remotely. In a sense, he can also control the weather in a certain range. With this ability, he could forecast weather far more accurate than human's present technology.
