- While Baudo is mentioned (name only) in the novel, his contracted Crimson Lord's name has not been mentioned in any sources up until it is on the list of Flame Haze published in Shakugan no Shana no Subete Kan.
- Fay is the alternate spelling for Fairy, a supernatural being in European folklore.[1]
- Also, Fay is probably a reference to the well known sorceress from Arthurian legend, Morgan le Fay.[2]
