The Faint Heaven Quake (朧天震 Rōtenshin) is a phenomenon coined by Dantalion[1][2]. It was the contractile motion caused by the destruction of the Path of Pilgrimage in the Rift Between Both Worlds.
Background[]
The Faint Heaven Quake was described as a vibration felt by those who manipulate Power of Existence across the world, as if an earthquake were occurring, both Flame Haze and Denizens alike.
It caused their vision to become blurred; their sense of balance was lost, making it a disaster for those who relied on high-speed aerial combat, such as the "Archer of Aurora" Chiara Toscana, who was flying midair at that moment.
However, the Denizens of Bal Masqué were told of a "Great Cataclysm" that was going to happen with the release of the Snake of the Festival's true body, so they were able to attack the Flame Haze while they were in shock from the Faint Heaven Quake. This realization, in turn, gave them absolute confidence in their impending victory.
In the eastern front, Ribesal launched an assault following the occurrence of the Faint Heaven Quake. Meanwhile, on the western front, the Flame Haze pursuit unit took this as an opportunity to withdraw from chasing the Bal Masqué's combined Greek-Egyptian army.
