Disturbance of Existence (存在の撹乱 Sonzai no Kakuran) is an Unrestricted Spell used by "Corpse Retriever" Lamies. It allows Lamies to evade enemies through using multiple dummies of himself created by dispersing his own existence.[3]
Background[]
Disturbance of Existence is a highly advanced Unrestricted Spell, but Lamies has complete mastery of it.[1] He uses this excellent technique to evade pursuit.[3]
Disturbance of Existence has three steps:[2]
- Lamies divides his own existence into multiple dummies to be used as decoys, places them in various locations, and transfers his consciousness into one of them.[2]
- When an enemy approaches, Lamies activates another dummy in a different location[3] and transfers his consciousness to that one.[2]
- Simultaneously,[3] Lamies transforms the dummy he had previously been using into birds and sends the Power of Existence the dummy had gathered back to his main body to be absorbed.[2][3]
By repeating these three steps, enemies, who are sensing the "existence of his consciousness", are made to believe that Lamies is teleporting.[2]
Margery Daw was able to ascertain the location of the real Lamies by watching the movements of the fake birds on the Crystal Altar as they flew back to him to be absorbed.[2]
