Cuélebre (クエレブレ Kuerebure ) is the Crimson Lord contracted to Cecilia Rodrigo. His true name is "Cloak of Deception" (欺蔽の套子 Gihei no Tōshi ).
Appearance[]
He expressed his will through the Divine Vessel, Espina, which took shape of a pendant adorned with fangs.
Personality[]
Cuélebre never tried to admonish Cecilia for her selfish act. When Cecilia died and Alastor inquired the reason why he didn't stop his Flame Haze, he only answered that because he was taking pity on her.
Background[]
Cuélebre was one of many Crimson Lords who rallied to fight against Asiz and his army, Töten Glocke. Sensing of impending crisis from his Grand Scheme, Cuélebre made a contract with Cecilia to become a Flame Haze and join the Great War.
However, Cecilia was considered one of "Sophie's Children" (ゾフィーの子供たち Zofī no Kodomo-tachi ), the term referred to poorly-contracted Hunters that were mass-produced during the Middle Ages under the care of Sophie Sawallisch.
Cuélebre's power was materialized via the defensive-type Unrestricted Spell Alcázar; but as the spell required considerable time to set up, Cecilia and Cuélebre were stationed to fight in the rear. When the war ended, Cecilia was called out to by Clemens Rott to join him and they started traveling the world together.
They met a Crimson Lord named Ōnamuchi and had been fighting him many times, improving their skills in the process. Despite that, Clemens was eventually killed by Ōnamuchi and but managed to let Cecilia escaped. She later fixated on recover Clemens's "treasure" in his hometown in Austria, even though she was thwarted by Ōnamuchi every time. Cuélebre accompanied her solemnly without saying a single word.
Plot[]
After many failed attempts and deaths of dozens of Flame Haze sent by Outlaw to assist Cecilia in destroying Ōnamuchi, a girl known at the time as "The Flame Haze of the Nietono no Shana" was sent by Pietro Monteverdi to help her. Cuélebre remained silent whenever the girl or her contracted Crimson Lord, the true god of the Crimson Realm, Alastor, talked to him.
At Cecilia's final moment, he spoke a single, dark and somber word, revealing that he did not stop Cecilia because he felt sorry for his contractor. Cuélebre then returned to the Crimson Realm.
Whether he crossed over to Xanadu or not is not revealed.
