Aggregate Will (意思総体 Ishi Sōtai) is an individual's consciousness, one of the components in making them an individual.
Background[]
It is thought to be similar to the concept of a person's spirit. Descriptively, an individual is formed when Aggregate Will dwells within Power of Existence. In other words, memories, personality, essence, experience, idiosyncrasies (Flame color), and other such things are all parts of Aggregate Will.
However, it is possible for Aggregate Will to be separated from Power of Existence and the physical body, as well as any special characteristics attached to them. There are special cases listed below.
Special Cases[]
Changes made by Treasure Tool[]
Treasure Tool Reshuffle has an ability to swap the user and their target's Aggregate Wills.
Yūji Sakai struggled to manifest Yogasa while he was in Shana's body, whereas Shana was easily able to cast a Fūzetsu in Yūji's body. When Shana cast the Fūzetsu in Yūji's body, she snatched Power of Existence from her own body, which had Yūji's Aggregate Will inside, while her Aggregate Will was still in Yūji's body, and used it as the energy source for the Fūzetsu. Therefore, the cast Fūzetsu's color was crimson.
Transcription of Aggregate Will[]
Pheles' Unrestricted Spell Kaze no Tenrin allows her to make a copy of her Aggregate Will to manifest at the destination where the target of searching is. The puppet will collect information and prepare the situation around it for the real Pheles to arrive. While this puppet is relatively weak compared to the real one, even Flame Haze and Denizens have difficulty seeing through the fact that it is a puppet, as Pheles' Aggregate Will is transcribed on it.
Crimson Denizen's Idiosyncrasy[]
Orgon led his Unrestricted Spell Legion, a countless number of military forces made of paper and a manifestation of his own existence. His hat and cloak, which his Aggregate Will dwelt in, acted as a control tower to operate the army. As the whole army was born from Orgon's essence, meaning the whole army was Orgon himself. For that reason, in order to destroy Orgon after he had activated Legion, one would have to destroy the entire army. This meant the hat and cloak were Orgon's true body and his weak point, but as long as his Aggregate Will was not completely destroyed, the main body could be reconstructed as long as the army existed.
Sabrac's existence was exceedingly thin and enormously spreading, and when his humanoid form, which had his Aggregate Will inside, got too far away from the rest of him, he would lose control of the larger body he had left behind.
Virtual Aggregate Will[]
The Virtual Aggregate Will (仮想意思総体 Kasō Ishi Sōtai) is a "virtual" Aggregate Will that resonated with the will of the God of Creation, the Snake of the Festival, whose true body was inside the Rift Between Both Worlds, and reproduced it into this world.
As he was banished by ancient Flame Haze's Eternal Pitfall, the Snake of the Festival attempted to create the Virtual Aggregate Will to be the core of his substitute body. This would allow him to act freely in this world. The Perfect Insignia Psalm of the Grand Order, which had gone through trial and error, was continuously sent into this world, and served as the blueprint for the Virtual Aggregate Will.
The members of Bal Masqué and Dantalion recovered and assembled these Psalm of the Grand Order and integrated it into the Tyrant. Over many years, many personality reflections (a human's strong emotions, their personality patterns) were harvested by Tyrant II's Reflective Transfer and were to be combined and completed by the Psalm of the Grand Order's final Insignia into the Virtual Aggregate Will. After unifying with Yūji Sakai, the Snake of the Festival's Aggregate Will was able to surface and proceed with his Grand Order.
After Bal Masqué had accomplished the Grand Order, Bel-Peol's Treasure Tool Tartaros separated the Snake of the Festival's Aggregate Will from Yūji Sakai[† 1] and he departed to the new world, Xanadu.
Notes[]
- ↑ However, the final volume describes what was separated by Tartaros as the Snake of the Festival's Aggregate Will, not the Virtual Aggregate Will; this suggests the possibility that after the Snake of the Festival returned to this world, he may have replaced a part of his true Aggregate Will with the Virtual Aggregate Will.
